Stephen Anderson, 34, of Three Rivers was arrested Thursday, Feb. 4, and taken into custody by Tulare County Sheriff’s Office detectives. He was subsequently booked and jailed at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility.
Anderson’s arrest came after detectives from the TCSO Crimes Against Children Unit received reports that Anderson had molested multiple juvenile victims. On Monday, Feb. 8, Anderson pleaded not guilty on eight counts of penal code 288A (lewd acts on a child with special allegations); and one count of penal code 288.7 (oral copulation/penetration of a child under the age of 10 years).
At the arraignment, Anderson’s bail was set at $500,000. On Thursday, Feb. 11, Anderson posted bail and was released from custody.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 8:30 a.m., at the Visalia Courthouse, Department 4.
