Carole Danice Faris, who formerly was a Three Rivers resident for 27 years, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at the Banner Grandview Terrace Hospice Home in Sun City, Ariz. She was 79.
Carole was born June 11, 1937, in Denver, Colo., to Daniel W. and Fern L. (Henderson) Field. At a young age she and her family moved to Texas and then to Whittier, Calif.
In October 1952, Carole married Edwin A. Bunnell. After years of life adjustments, in December 1971, she married Theo “Ted” Faris in Las Vegas, Nev., and together settled in Placentia, Calif.
Together, Carole and Ted ventured to a beautiful quiet town called Three Rivers and fell in love with the community, its people, and the fact it catered to retirees. In February 1989, they moved permanently to Three Rivers.
Carole was a social person and enjoyed visiting. She took advantage of working different part-time jobs in some of the small businesses in Three Rivers so she could do just that.
She also enjoyed golfing the Three Rivers Golf Course for many years. She and Ted found great pleasure traveling to their favorite getaway in Pismo Beach, visiting there in the fall and spring of each year.
Just five months ago, on July 6, 2016, Carole was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ted Faris. At that time, Carole left Three Rivers and moved closer to her children.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Cheri Robitaille, of San Diego; sons and daughters-in-law Dan and Becky Bunnell of Buckeye, Ariz., and Rick and Carol Bunnell of Eagle, Idaho; four stepchildren, Karen Morgan and husband Brian, Barbara Miller, Peggy Duffield and husband Dallas, and Mike Faris and wife Marty, all of Lake Isabella, Calif.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her precious dog, Toby. She also leaves behind many great and wonderful friends whom she cherished dearly.
