Christina Lucille Perry, a resident of Three Rivers for 50 years, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at 12:30 a.m. She was 90.
Tina was born March 6, 1924, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to John and Christina Irene Sager. She was raised in West Virginia.
After moving to California, Tina attended College of the Sequoias in Visalia, where she received her AA degree.
It was while attending COS that Tina met her husband-to-be, Lee Perry. They married in May 1951.
In 1975, Tina went to work at Three Rivers Drug and Gifts. She was a clerk there for 12 years.
Tina was well known for her exquisite soprano voice and sang in many college musicals, community choruses, and at church. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid hiker, spending much time on trails in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. She was a great lover of animals, both domestic and wild.
Tina is survived by her sister, Dolly Trbovich; her nephews, Steven, Matthew, and Anthony Trbovich; and niece Carla Trbovich.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m., at Church at Kaweah, 44069 North Fork Dr., Three Rivers.
