Edward Lee Howell of Three Rivers died Monday, March 10, 2014, in Fresno as a result of dementia. He was 77.
A graveside service will be held today (Friday, March 14), 10:30 a.m., at Three Rivers Cemetery.
Ed was born January 4, 1937, in Visalia to Pearl Lee and Raymond Alfred Howell. He was raised in Ivanhoe and Visalia, where he graduated from Mt. Whitney High School.
From 1955 to 1959, Ed served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a violin maker and formerly worked at Central Valley Christian School in Visalia.
Ed is survived by his son, Tim Howell, and wife Cindy of Three Rivers; daughter Deborah Cline and husband Dan of Mokelumne Hill, Calif.; four grandchildren, Alexandra Mendek, Rocco Mendek, Taylor (Howell) Moore and husband Andrew, and Michael Howell; his good friend, Carla Treuting of Three Rivers; and his former wife of over 40 years, Ruth Anglemyer.
