Howard P. Bleile of Three Rivers died Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, in Visalia. He was 84.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m., at St. Anthony Retreat, 43816 Sierra Dr., Three Rivers.
Howard was born January 28, 1931, in Los Angeles. He attended Vallejo Junior High and High Schools. He graduated from Los Angeles State College with a B.A. in accounting.
He was a retired accountant who worked for the IRS for nine years, then the firm of Garrett Airesearch/Allied Signal for 26 years.
He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 36 years, including two years of active duty.
Howard and his wife, Barbara, moved to Three Rivers in 1996. Previously, he was a volunteer at the Three Rivers School library.
In 2004, he was presented with an Honorary Service Award by the TRUS PTA for his work at the school.
Howard enjoyed assisting local seniors, homeowners, and renters in filing for tax credits. He was a member of the Three Rivers Senior League.
Howard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara, and five children.
