Howard Ross Hill of Three Rivers died after a brief illness on Monday, July 10, 2017. He was 86.
A celebration of Howard’s life will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, 11 a.m., at the Three Rivers Memorial Building.
Howard was born February 22, 1931, in Glendale, Calif., to Ralph and Frances Hill. He was one of four boys raised on the family’s dairy in Southern California. In 1948, the family relocated their dairy business to Springville.
Howard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of staff sergeant.
A longtime resident of Three Rivers and previously Visalia, Howard was a retired master cabinet maker, restaurant owner, and cattle rancher. In his retirement, he became a skilled gardener, which was evident to anyone who visited his South Fork home.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Ann Hill, in 2008; a son, Mitchell Cary Genter; and two brothers Allen Hill and Gary Hill.
Howard is survived by his daughter, Kathyanna Radcliff; sons Richard Hill and Michael Genter; his brother, Frank Hill; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank those who assisted in making Howard’s final days so special and peaceful.
