Elizabeth Clark Chappell of Sacramento passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, after a brief illness. She was 26.
Lizzie was born January 31, 1992, in Atlanta, Ga., to John and Shelley Chappell. Lizzie is a graduate of Del Oro High School in Loomis, Calif., and received her degree in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University.
Lizzie worked as a junior merchandise manager at Lumens Light and Living after having worked as a manager with Macy’s for several years. She cared deeply for her work families.
A lover of animals, a crusader against injustice, and a kind, compassionate soul — put that together with a sense of humor like no other, and you have a tiny part of what made this young woman so special. Her family doesn’t understand why she had to leave so soon but must accept it, all while hoping she is spreading light in another place.
Lizzie was a very much-loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, and friend.
She is survived by her parents, John and Shelley Chappell of Three Rivers; and her siblings, Tim and Allyn McNamara of Portland, Ore., and Sarah Chappell of Sacramento.
Lizzie also leaves behind her two cherished pets, Charlie the pup and Pearl the kitty. Her family will do all they can to make sure they have happy lives where they will hear stories about their remarkable mommy every day.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to one of the following:
