Fire Corps volunteers
At the Three Rivers Town Hall meeting in February 2015, the concept of the Fire Corps was introduced by Tulare County Fire Department staff. To that end, there will be an informational meeting at the Three Rivers Fire Station (on South Fork Drive) on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m.
The Tulare County Fire Department’s Fire Corps program is a community-based program. It will give local residents the opportunity to augment TCFD’s suppression and professional staff within various functional areas of the TCFD.
Fire Corps members donate their time and receive no financial gain for their voluntary participation in this program. The TCFD Fire Corps program is managed through the Tulare County Fire Department Training Bureau.

Paid call firefighters
Paid-call firefighters are currently needed in Three Rivers. Applications are now being accepted for those interested in participating in this program.
A staff of highly motivated, dedicated, and well-trained paid-call firefighters complements the overall work force of the Tulare County Fire Department. These PCF members will serve the fire department in Three Rivers.
While the Three Rivers station consists of a staff of professionally trained firefighters, the PCF adds personnel to an already staffed fire apparatus in order to provide an augmentation of staff for each emergency response.
Paid-call firefighter trainees will receive instruction in all manner of firefighting, from driving to hazardous materials and equipment to wildland and structure fires.
For more information on how to apply, inquire at Three Rivers Fire Station 14 on South Fork Drive or call 561-4362.
