Lori De Boer Ainley: 1959 ~ 2015

Lori De Boer Ainley of Elderwood went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015. She was 56.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 1:30 p.m., at Woodlake Cemetery (Cypress Avenue at Naranjo).

Lori was born January 9, 1959, in Visalia to Theodore and Claire De Boer. She attended elementary school in Visalia through fifth grade, then moved with her family to Woodlake where she graduated from Woodlake High School.

On August 4, 1976, Lori married her high school sweetheart, Frank Ainley Jr. The newlyweds moved onto the Ainley Ranch where they built a home, continued the cattle business that has been operated by the family since 1905, and started a family.

Lori was a homemaker and bookkeeper for their cattle-breeding business. On the ranch, Lori was always ready to help and was an active participant in ranch life.

She rode horses, gathered and branded cattle, and learned how to rope. Like her dad, Lori loved to camp, whether on the ranch or in the high country.

Lori had a big generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a nurturer and such a good mom.

Her kids said, “She and Dad made our family their first priority, never tiring of showing how much they loved us. Mom never missed a sporting event or school function, no matter the distance. She was always our number-one fan!”

Lori was also an exceptional cook. This last Thanksgiving, knowing it was the first holiday without Grandma Ainley, Lori cooked the turkey, sweet potatoes, and made Grandma’s special dressing recipe. She wanted the meal to taste just like it had for years, and it did!

Lori was preceded in death by her dad, Theodore De Boer; mother-in-law Barbara Ainley (1932-2014); sister-in-law Darlene Ainley; and nephew Paul Brewer.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Frank Ainley Jr.; their three children, Frank Ainley III and wife Saty of Three Rivers, Theodore Ainley and wife Lori of Three Rivers, and Corinne Ainley Manes and husband Kyle of Woodlake; six grandchildren, Frank IV, Cheyenne, Baylee, Isaiah, Payton, and Theodore Jr.; her mother, Claire De Boer; sister Tina Blimling and husband Ron; father-in-law Frank Ainley Sr.; brothers-in-law Tim Ainley and wife June, Craig Ainley and wife Ronell; sister-in-law Annette Ainley Buckley and husband Tom; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to Foundations School of Discipleship (Tim Ainley, founder/director), P.O. Box 2671, Visalia, CA 93279 (www.foundationsdts.com).
