Nancy Morgan: 1943 ~ 2018

Nancy Ann Morgan of Three Rivers died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018.  She was 74.
Nancy was born December 12, 1943, to Merrill Parsons and Dorothy Oshea. Nancy grew up in a military family and moved often in her life.
As a child, she lived all over the United States and in Japan. She graduated from high school in Ajo, Ariz., a small copper mining town with a radar base and 27 houses.
As an adult, Nancy worked for most of her career as an event coordinator for professionals. She was creative, artistic, organized, and a clever writer. When she retired, she traveled the world.
Nancy and her brother, Ric, moved to Three Rivers in 2012 after several years of coaxing from their sister, Sue Sherwood, a longtime resident.
"As siblings, we were extremely lucky to have this time together," said Sue. "Our bond grew stronger, and we were together to support and love each other as we grew older."
All the Sherwood children, grandchildren, and spouses got to know Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ric in a very special way.
Nancy was a beautiful, unassuming woman. She was smart, funny, kind, loving, generous, and always willing to lend a hand.
She adored Sophie, her precious dog and companion for 16 years.
Nancy was practical, tenacious, and stubborn like an Irish woman, but she loved a good party! A glass of wine, friends and family, foot stomping, dancing music, and you couldn’t keep her still!
"We will miss Nancy terribly and remember her with a song in our soul and love in our heart," Sue continued. "She was an amazing woman!"
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mark and Ric Parsons, one sister, Jeanne Stenger; and her husbands, John Lorance and Donald Morgan.
She is survived by one sister, Sue Sherwood of Three Rivers; her cherished sons, Bill and Chris Lorance; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who loved her dearly.
