Roger Edgar Disinger, a longtime resident of Lemon Cove, died Thursday, July 31, 2014. He was 81.
Roger was born in Syracuse, N.Y., on April 29, 1933, to Floyd and Camilla Disinger. He received a bachelor of science degree from UCLA and an MBA from USC.
He met the love of his life, the former Margaret Donohue, in West Covina in 1956. The couple married October 20, 1957.
Roger and Margaret first settled in Alhambra, where their two children were born. They later moved to Santa Clara, where Roger worked as a systems analyst for Memorex and Bechtel.
In October 1978, the Disingers purchased the Lemon Cove-Sequoia Campground (formerly KOA) and moved to Lemon Cove. They operated the campground for 35 years, until October 2013.
Roger is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret; his son Evan Roger Disinger of Lemon Cove; daughter Teresa Colleen and husband Bill of Visalia; his three grandchildren, Courtney Disinger, Kyle Bolen, and Brandon Mullins; his special companion, Snoopy; brother Bruce; niece Patti; and nephew Dana.
