Sequoia ranger honored

Ranger Joshua Van Aalst of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks was the Hero Appreciation Months-Law Enforcement honoree. He was nominated by Tulare County Deputy Mark Frick for his highly motivated and professional work both in and out of the parks. The award was presented Friday, Feb. 26, at the Three Rivers Historical Museum at an event sponsored by the Sequoia Foothills Chamber of Commerce.

"Ranger Van Aalst’s work has been instrumental in developing a collaborative partnership with local law enforcement," said Ned Kelleher, chief ranger at Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Parks.
