Have an idea or proposal for a trail or another Three Rivers project for the TCAG (Tulare County Association of Governments) plan entitled Walk ‘n Bike Tulare County? According to lead planner Roberto Brady, there is still time to include a Three Rivers project in the new plan.
Brady said earlier this week that any comments or new proposals can be considered for the plan until Thursday, April 21. TCAG staff hopes to finalize the plan in time to be adopted at the May 21 meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
“The plan is not fiscally constrained and most of the projects hope to draw on a combination of Measure R and grant funding,” Brady said. “Send me a comment about a need or a project idea, and that’s usually enough to get the process started.”
The draft Walk ‘n Bike plan currently lists dozens of projects with a $107 million price tag — at least one idea for every stakeholder on the TCAG board. The TCAG board is currently composed of all five supervisors, representatives of the county’s eight incorporated cities, a Cal Trans representative, and two at-large members.
