Three Rivers attorney appointed to Superior Court bench

Governor Brown announced earlier this week that he appointed Nathan G. Leedy of Three Rivers as a judge to the Tulare County Superior Court. Leedy, 38, has served as a deputy public defender in the Tulare County Public Defender’s Office since 2004.

Nate earned his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Santa Barbara.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be appointed to the Superior Court bench,” Nate said, “I am excited for the new challenge.”

Leedy fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Lloyd L. Hicks, a longtime Superior Court judge who was raised in Three Rivers and attended local schools.
