Three Rivers Yogurt: Sweet, tart, and healthy too

For Addie Alexander, opening a frozen yogurt store in Three Rivers is a dream realized. Growing up in Visalia, Addie is no stranger to Three Rivers.

Sixteen years ago, at age 16, Addie worked a summer at Silver City Mountain Resort as a pie maker. Connie Jones, who then owned and operated the mountain resort, showed Addie the ins and outs of the food service industry. Since then, Addie knew she, too, wanted to cater some sort of cuisine to hungry customers.

After Addie and her husband, Rigo, a Visalia building contractor, purchased the retail building that also houses Sierra Subs and Salads, it took three months to retrofit the former coffee shop space into a bright, airy yogurt shop.

Meet Addie in the above video as she explains that frozen yogurt is so much more than dessert. It’s a healthy treat with live probiotic cultures. There are vegan and gluten-free options too.

What a great interview. Can’t wait to try the yogurt. Hope she gets the kind of response she needs to maintain the shop for a long, long time.
