Walter Aguilar of Kaweah died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, in Visalia. He was 92.
A service will be held at St. Clair’s Catholic Church in Three Rivers on Monday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m.
Walter was born July 10, 1922, in Espanola, N.M. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps as a member of the Flying Tigers.
After the war, Walter worked as a welding specialist in the aerospace industry, working closely with NASA on the Space Shuttle programs.
For the past 30 years, Walter and his wife, Marie, resided in Three Rivers. He was a member of St. Clair’s Catholic Church. The couple enjoyed traveling throughout the world with family, friends, and church members.
Walter was loved by everyone who knew him and will be lovingly remembered by all.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie; two sons, Wally and his wife and two grandchildren, and his younger son, John, and his wife.
