Judging by the bitter cold and power outages across most of the U.S., Kaweah Country has arguably the best winter outside of Hawaii and Florida. But since July 1, the start of the current rainfall season, only 1.74 inches of the wet stuff has fallen in Three Rivers. In Southern California, the drought is more severe where in many places only one-quarter of an inch of rain has fallen since last July. Sunny, dry weather remains in the 10-day forecast.
