WEATHER WATCH: April 8, 2016

With daytime highs this past week reaching well into the 80s, the green foothills have started turning that oh-so-familiar golden hue, about a month ahead of schedule. The warmer temperatures melted some high-country snow, causing a spike in river levels and creating good conditions for whitewater rafters, the first in several years.

Rain is forecast for the foothills off and on through the weekend with snow falling at elevations above 8,000 feet.
