WEATHER WATCH: August 12, 2016

The furnace is about to kick on again. The seven-day outlook includes a return of triple-digit temperatures.

Keep an eye to the sky tonight (Friday, Aug. 12) for the Perseid “outburst,” which means perhaps 200 meteors an hour during the annual meteor shower. If you miss the outburst, you should still see meteors for the next several nights but they will diminish as the moon gets brighter and the Earth rotates.
