Dam-tenders at Lake Kaweah aren’t taking any chances. There are more storms in the 30-day forecast and one warm cloudburst could bring down all the high-country snow at once. Lake Kaweah storage is 23,266 acre feet, one-eighth of the basin’s capacity.
There is rain in the forecast for next Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 17-18. This will be the first precipitation in the region this month.
