The storm pattern has shifted as the southern Sierra settles into the El Nino model. Storms will be accompanied by warmer temperatures, heavier downpours, and higher snow levels. Rainfall totals season-to-date in the Three Rivers environs range from 14.50 to 15 inches depending on location.
Current snowpack: 51 inches at Lodgepole, 32 inches at Grant Grove, and 52 inches in the Mineral King valley.
Weekly rainfall in Three Rivers (1,000 feet elevation; January 16-22): 1.50 inches (with another half inch over the weekend of January 23-24).
