It hasn’t rained yet this winter, and we are still waiting for the first rain of 2015. That’s right, folks, no rain has fallen during the month of January, historically the wettest month of the year.
Forecasters are calling for a slight chance of rain (10-20%) on Tuesday-Wednesday, Jan. 27-28. If that precipitation doesn’t arrive, this will be only the second January in the past 100 years that there has been no rain.
Snowfall is also tracking at near record-low levels once again and is on a similar trajectory to both 1976-1977 and 2013-2014.
