Kaweah Country recorded four inches of rain for January. That’s a bit less than the stormier December. After the next system passes through this weekend, the local season’s total will eclipse 16 inches of rainfall; the local snowpack at 7,000 feet still has four feet on the ground. This weekend’s storm will be cold and is expected to drop snow levels to 3,000 to 4,000 feet. Good thing there is an abundance of snow-chain distributors in Three Rivers (six at last count)!
