The one to three feet of snow that fell in the nearby mountains during the storm that arrived with a vengeance last week is rapidly melting and will continue to do so with the warming temperatures. There is a slight chance of showers at the beginning of the workweek but, again, it will be warm storm so any rain that does fall will melt even more snow. If rain does make an appearance, the river will rise briefly due to snowmelt, but with one storm a month during the winter of 2013-2014, it won’t be enough to end this drought. And spring is just around the corner.
