Three Rivers has twice as much rain as was received last year at this time. On November 20, 2013, there was a total of 1.2 inches in the rain gauge at the 1,000-feet elevation level. On November 21, 2014, a whopping 2.3 inches of precipitation had fallen. Add to that another .20 of an inch on November 22-23, and the total is now at 2.5 inches for the season (July 1-June 30). The Thanksgiving weekend in the Sierra foothills will be mostly sunny while the Valley floor is socked in with dreary fog.
