The two inches of rain received last weekend was enough to get the rivers and irrigation ditches flowing again. The next chance for rain is in a week, and forecasters are calling for only about a 20 percent, maybe. That big, beautiful early rising moon the past few nights is called the “last full moon before the frost” or “the beaver moon” because it’s time to set the trap line. The moon appears so close because of the good air quality usually present in the waning days of fall.
