More of the same, temperatures in the lower 90s with nighttime lows on the 50s, will continue until Thursday. Then a significant cooling trend will bring an extended run of daytime highs in the 70s and a chance for some moisture over the weekend. Currently, the forecast calls for a chance of rain in the foothills on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 18-19); snow in the higher elevations of the local mountains. It’s time to sweep the chimney and split wood because colder weather is just around the corner.
