Water. We need water. A trace from the sky Sunday night and Monday, but the source was just the remnants of Hurricane Norbert. According to Bill Pooley’s Kaweah River Page (www.c2.com/kaweah/), the Middle Fork of the Kaweah River is flowing as low as a paltry 9 cfs. Water temperature is reported to be above 80 degrees at several Middle Fork locations, and the river is filled with green algae.
The peak flow for 2014 occurred in the early morning hours of May 3 when the river level reached 1,009 cfs. We. Need. Water.
