WEATHER WATCH: September 18, 2015

The low pressure that brought .10 inches of rainfall on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 14-15, also rained on the Rough Fire, giving firefighters a break from the inferno and Kaweah Country a break from smoke. Fire activity will increase with warmer weekend temperatures, so there could be some incidences of smoke.

The autumnal equinox arrives at 1:21 am on Wednesday, Sept. 23, meaning day and night will be of equal length but, thereafter, the days will get shorter.
