Seasonal temperatures with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 50s will dominate the seven-day forecast. There is a 20 percent chance of showers on Saturday in the local foothills and nearby mountains. Precipitation associated with a passing low pressure system is expected to fall mainly north of Kings Canyon and snow is possible in the higher elevations. Cal Fire and federal interagency firefighters remain busy with the 100,000-acre King Fire near Pollock Pines still burning but nearly contained.
