Larry Micari, District 1 supervisor candidate: ‘I know what is needed by the residents up here…’

With all the signs, it would be difficult not to know there’s a race for county supervisor in District 1. The far-flung district begins in east Visalia, follows the Highway 198 corridor, and includes Farmersville, Exeter, Lindsay, Strathmore, Lemon Cove, Three Rivers and lots of rural land north and south of 198. Meet Larry Micari, a retired Tulare County Sheriff’s Office captain, lives in Exeter with his wife, Beth, and their two daughters. He is one of three candidates in the non-partisan race for District 1 county supervisor.

The campaign has already shifted into high gear with six weeks to go until the California primary election. At stake is a majority win in the March 3 primary. If none of the three candidates garner a majority of the votes, then the top two finishers will face-off on the November 3, 2020, general election ballot. Micari looking to improve

Micari, 58, is a self-described “go-to guy” and says he has the problem-solving skills he believes will serve his constituents well when he is elected. He knows his way around Three Rivers, he admits, because during the 1990s, at the TCSO, he would fill in as needed for then-resident deputy Kevin Bohl. “I know the community is forever changing but I’ve listened to your concerns and I know what is needed by the residents up here and the public,” Micari assured Three Rivers.

“I know the community is forever changing but I’ve listened to your concerns and I know what is needed by the residents up here and the public,” Micari said.
